On 11 Oct 2026, Kuwait hands MARSS £370m for a nationwide AI air defence system, built out of Bristol.

Why it matters: MARSS, now part of Australia's EOS, wraps radars, jammers and interceptors around its NiDAR AI command layer. 100 new engineering and manufacturing jobs in Bristol, integration through 2027. EOS calls it its largest contract ever, and it is still conditional on guarantees and export licences. European counter-drone software is now an export product, not a demo.

Denmark signs what Systematic calls the first NATO contract for AI-ready counter-drone command and control.

Why it matters: Danish procurement agency DALO buys Systematic's SitaWare suite, plugged into Terma's counter-drone kit, with AI analysis of historical and live data to flag threats. Two Danish companies, one shared picture across sites. Small country, first mover.

Amsterdam's Intelic gets €30m from the Dutch MoD to make mismatched drone defences talk to each other.

Why it matters: Nexus links radars, sensors and interceptor drones from different vendors without replacing the hardware, and Intelic already has a team in Kyiv. Three counter-drone C2 deals in Europe in one week. The value is moving from the interceptor to the brain that tells it where to go.
