On 15 Oct 2026, TEKEVER opened TEKEVER Germany in Munich and delivered its first uncrewed aerial system to the Bundeswehr for evaluation, after a Series D of up to $580m at a $6.4bn valuation.

Why it matters: Munich is the DACH HQ. The heavy-lift platform is in for logistics and force-support concepts. Builds on £400m UK and €200m France investment bets already announced. Money plus a product inside a European MoD eval, not another slide.

The UK government's £500m Sovereign AI Fund invested in Augur, a British security startup with ex-Palantir founders, and gave it access to Isambard-AI, the UK's most powerful AI supercomputer.

Why it matters: Cheque size undisclosed; the fund typically writes £5-10m. Augur turns fragmented sensor nets into a real-time intelligence layer (already used by Transport for London). Sovereign cash plus sovereign compute for domestic security AI.

Paris failed to secure European funding for Arcadia, its military AI programme involving Mistral AI, Thales and Safran, among others (La Lettre, 14 Oct). Brussels shortlisted around ten manufacturers from several countries but judged the C2 project too typically French for now.

Why it matters: Europe wants joint military AI and then flinches when one capital shows up with its own primes. Edition candidate: who actually gets the European cheque when sovereignty collides with industrial geography.

Draganfly made a strategic investment in Estonia-Ukraine's DoD Solution (14 Oct) to accelerate AURA AI onboard autonomy for GPS-denied unmanned systems; Draganfly CEO Cameron Chell joins the board.

Why it matters: AURA SBC + AURA OS targets FPV drones, interceptors and fixed-wing in contested EW. Capital plus NDAA-path governance to scale Ukrainian combat stack into Western procurement.

Danish-Lithuanian drone maker Monopulse raised over €2m led by Lithuania's Coinvest Capital (announced ~12 Oct), with Plug and Play and a 68-angel syndicate, to expand jam-resistant Falcon production into Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Why it matters: Small cheque, real European serial production. First equity round after revenue and a €1.12m ILTE loan. The next Tekevers get assembled at this end of the shelf.
